What we've been up to lately....

Well, August has been a fun month, we celebrated 3 years of eternal bliss, visited our new nephew, Jackson, in Wyoming and just enjoyed life! Here are some pictures from our fun times!!!
My beautiful flowers Ry got me for our anniversary
I was in charge of our anniversary this years, so the theme was "Favorites". We started out Friday night going to dinner at Ryan's favorite restaurant, Wingers, then heading to the city fair. That night we spoiled ourselves with our favorite Chocolate Cream pie from Coppermill while watching movies in bed! We love to do that. On Saturday morning I cooked Ryan a very BIG breakfast, consisting of homemade pancakes, sausage, eggs and cheese and hash browns. One of his favorite things that I do, make him food! Then we headed to one of our favorite places to shop, the Park City outlets! We got us some good stuff. Then off to Salt Lake we went to indulge in Root Beer Freezes from A & W (Ryan's favorite) Then some more shopping at the gateway then on to my favorite restaurant for dinner, The Spaghetti Factory!!! It was delicious. Ryan was a champ for enduring that meal with me. Then I surprised Ryan with Salt Lake Real tickets. One of his favorite sport to play and watch. We had so much fun at the game! Soccer fans are crazy! It was a blast! Then we traveled safely home, after enjoying a day of our favorite things!!!

The Salt Lake Real stadium at night. It was really pretty.

Ry and I before the game started. That's right, we sat in the KFC colonel's corner! Not bad seats at all!

Another picture of us before the game.
We were so lucky to go visit our cute new nephew, Jackson, up in Wyoming. It was fun and the pictures are here to prove it!

Daddy/son time! Dave is absolutely in love with this new bundle of joy! It was so great to see him as a father.
Another one of daddy/son time

And yet another....

Dave took us fishing again, (if you know the story behind this, last time we visited Dave took us here to fish, not knowing that the lake was almost completely frozen over so we were happy to actually get some fishing in) This is just Ryan and I having fun on a rock while fishing.

The pretty lake where we attempted to fish and had no success!!! Those little stinkers.

We, uh, had some problems keeping the lines in tow. Dave had to fix a lot of mishaps on our fishing excursion but he sure had a lot of patience.

Dave still chugging along in fixing our mistakes. Thanks bro!!!

Ryan having fun fishing off a rock. It was really funny, there were plenty of fish jumping out of the water, teasing and taunting him, but he just couldn't catch any of them. They were sure tricky.

Dave enjoying some relaxing time in the mountains, attempting to catch something.

Ryan wondering why, after casting his line, it ended up by his feet....hmmmmmmm.....could it be the operator???

Yea, I know, I am a pro fisherwoman and know it too!

And what's a fishing trip without food right? Oh it was delicious stone, fired pizza!!!! Yummy!!!!

Brother/Sister/Nephew time! Love it!!!!

Jackson hanging out with his favorite aunt!!!!

Just hanging out, relaxin...
We were also lucky enough to spend a day with Alisha, Zander and Brock while we were up there. We went boating and it was sure fun. Here is Zander and Uncle Ryan hanging out. Zander was sure happy to get out of his life jacket.

Here we are waiting to get to the dock to put the boat back on the trailer. Seriously, we are the coolest aunt and uncle in the world!!!

Here is our trusty boat driver, Bruce! Gotta love the wind blown look! What a great guy!

Ryan holding on for his life as Bruce pulls him going 1,000 miles an hour. I love how the drops of water turned out in this picture.

Ryan and Alisha gettin ready for the ride of their life!

Here is Brock showing off his skills!!!

Ryan and I having a turn on the tube. It was so much fun!!

Ryan and Zander hanging out in the tube. Zander didn't quite know what to make of the situation.

Ryan, Bruce, and Brock went golfing. This is Bruce's pimped out golf cart. I love the comparison with the cart behind it. It just shows how BIG this cart is. Seriously, who puts a stereo system and rims on a golf cart? Oh I know, Bruce!

Just a picture of one of many delightful meals we indulged in while in Wyoming. And yes, this was very much homemade! Mmmmmmmmmm, I am craving it right now.
David has been telling us all summer about this amazing shaved ice shack they have there. If you know us very well, we are definitely supporters of shaved ice so of course we had to go visit while we were there. Maybe more than once...... This shack was awesome. And guess what, David has a tab with them! Now that is a serious shaved ice stand. And with Dave's three new referrals, us, he gained the crown of customer of the week! We were happy to oblige.

Look at this thing, it is a serious shaved ice stand!!!

It even serves Wings and pretzels!!!

These were the cute employees of the shaved ice shack. The world better watch out, little Stetson is going to be a strong business man when he grows up. He almost had us convinced to buy every flavor of shaved ice that day. Too bad he wants to be a professional bull rider someday. It is ok, keep the dreams in check and always each shaved ice I say!

Uncle Ryan and cute Jackson hanging out.

Uncle Ryan and Aunt Meghan gave Jackson Dr. Seuss books so we had story time. I don't think Jackson was too interested at the moment. I am sure he will like them later when he gets older.

I thought I would never witness this moment in my life! Dave changing a diaper! Ok, Hell can now freeze over, pigs are now flying! And he didn't do too shabby of a job! And Jackson sure felt better after! I am sure Jackson was a little nervous as well.

This was a funny sign we saw while traveling to Ten Sleep. Who knew you had to run for coroner in Wyoming?
All in all, our trip was fun and it was great to see family. Of course, we went to the Crazy Woman Cafe and I had my Spaghetti Sandwich. (If you remember my post and pictures from last year). David was awesome enough to order me a chocolate pie and it was delicious as well. We went to the movies in Worland and loved it! Thanks Dave and Ash for the fun time. Can't wait to see you guys in November!

Family Fun Part 3....last and final one!

NFL Wannabee....sorry Ry, I just had to post this picture, hehehehehehe....anywho, going on.....

Well, we were sure sad to see Kari and her family leave us to go back to Arizona but we sure enjoyed their time here and all the fun we had. As a family, we went to our annual spot on the lawn to watch the fireworks at Romney Stadium. It was fun. We made dutch oven bbq chicken and cheesy potatoes and had lots of treats and fun! Here are just a few pictures that document our night-o-fun....enjoy!

Here it Ty watching the fireworks show. He was hanging out with Uncle Ryan.

Shawn had a good time making Journey laugh. What a cutie.....I mean Journey not you Shawn.....j/k

Here's a Picture of Ryan's siblings minus Jason and Alisha. We sure missed them but were definitely thinking of them as well.

The kids had this fetish with wrestling with Ryan. They would not leave him alone, don't worry though, he sure enjoyed it! (But not when Oakley kicked his butt!!!)

Uncle Ryan and Ty
Well, the fireworks were great and it was sure fun to spend it with family. We miss them already and are looking forward to seeing them again! They made it home safe and all is well in the neighborhood. We miss you all, Wyoming and Arizona! Can't wait to see you again. Love you all!!!
Just an update, we are patiently awaiting the arrival of our nephew Jackson! His due date is in 5 days. He is being a little stubborn but hopefully will be here soon. Dave and Ash can't wait and neither can we! We can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like. Good luck Dave and Ash!
Ryan is done with classes for school and aced his finals! He is so happy and excited to be done with school. He just has internship hours left but no classes so he couldn't be happier. He is in a much better mood now that he does not have to worry about school. I love it! Now that he is done with school, it is my turn to start in August. I can't wait and am looking forward to the opportunities that await us! Ry, I am proud of you and all the hard work that you have put in school and the success you have seen from that hard work. Keep it up and your dreams will come true! Love you always! -Your wife
